Spring is here, and with it, warmer days and new projects. I'm part of a new band project called Defiant Angel, and once again playing with my longtime friends (and ex-Citizen Jayne bandmates), Ed Isbell and Frank Norred. Joining us on lead vocals and guitar is Jonathan Spidle, formerly of the Gus Whitaker Band. We're in rehearsals, and have shows lined up starting soon (follow the link above for dates and venues). We're focusing on extra production, as well as a lot of new material. So far it's going great.I'm also playing some acoustic shows, both with Jonathan, and my other acoustic amigo, Tracey Tucker. Be sure to check my schedule on MySpace for all my show dates. In between music projects and my growing business, Granger Amplification, I've squeezed in one round of golf so far this year, and hoping to find time for at least a few more. *wink* |

Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a very rewarding Christmas, and a great new year in 2010!Not much news to report. Most of my time as of late is spent building amps and growing the business Granger Amplification. |

| Very cool news! Making a change! | |||
After 15 years working for Bellsouth and now AT&T, I am retiring July 11th! I've always had intentions to "retire early" but I never imagined Granger Amplification would grow as quickly as it has. I am elated that I will be able to fully focus my attention (and workaholic tendencies) towards my own business interests, including GrangerAmp, as well as my band Citizen Jayne, which is in its 3rd year, my own solo music, and maybe even some freelance web design and photography. I feel blessed to have the opportunity, and I would like to thank all my customers, friends, fans, and most importantly, God and my family, for helping make this a reality.As I compose this update, I'm cleaning out my desk, while my mind is racing with all the possibilities and ideas. New amp models, guitar pedals, new songs, new venues to book... just a whirlwind of activity and inspiration inside the old noggin. Lastly, if you arrived here by the way of screamsophie.net, I've officially retired that website and any redirects. Scream Sophie was a proud chapter in my life, but that's all it is now. I'm letting the domain expire later this year. If you want to revisit my old band, there's still a presence on MySpace, and the CDs we released are still available at cdbaby.com. Have a great summer! I know I am. ![]() |
